2010 a/c module intermittent complete shut off
Hello folks,
Here is another request for help. This issue has been going on for more than an year now. Every once and a while the entire a/c unit module shuts off. Meaning, all buttons lights related to a/c unit turn off. A/c stops working but fan keeps blowing at the speed it was before the shut off. Nothing within the a/c module is functional. That lasts for seconds to couple minutes and a/c comes back on. Often when that happens warm air starts blowing but not always. I had the car checked by mechanic who replaced The a/c computer module (not sure if thats the right term) but that did not fix the problem. Any tips on what I whould trace or diagnose to hopefully fix it?
thanks!

Did you scan for any codes? I would start their first. Its possible if there is an ECM that runs the a/c controls stops communicating it might show up in the codes as a fault/comm error. it would be handy to see a block diagram of the ECU's and what busses they are on and see if there is in fact an ECU that communicates with those push buttons, etc. Personally, I don't have any of that info available.
