As I prepare for a 45-day vacation, I am seeking guidance on the storage of my Lexus RX350 2015.

Specifically, I am interested in whether it is safe to utilize a battery maintainer for both vehicles.

Should I disconnect the battery from the car prior to using the maintainer?

Additionally, I would appreciate any alternative solutions you may recommend, as I do not have someone available to start and drive the car, given my remote location. Your insights on this matter would be invaluable to me.

A good-quality battery maintainer (such as one from CTEK) should be fine. Most folks do not disconnect the vehicle's battery terminals.

 

Will this be the same for a hybrid Rx 450 ?

 

Simplistic answer is no.

You can maintain the 12v battery with a battery minder/tender but traction battery needs the vehicle to be run once a week. You can go couple of weeks but more than a month would be risking it.
