2010 Lexus Rx 350 Liftgate

2010 Lexus Rx 350 Liftgate
Hello.
My 2010 Lexus Rx350 liftgate is malfunctioning. When I activate it goes up with no issues. However, once I activate it to close again, it will start to go back down making a Tick Tick, jerking behavior all the way down, until it finally closes again. IT IS SO ANNOYING!!!
I am assuming I need to replace the liftgate struts. Has this happening to anyone?

First replace your liftgate struts with new ones from this site. https://www.liftsupportsdepot.com/?c...gaAlK_EALw_wcB
Hopefully that will solve your problem. Use a broom or friend to hold the liftgate up while you swap them out. See youtube for videos. They are all the same.
You may want to replace your hood struts too.
