Hands down the best gen rx
Time has proved this and it's highly regarded that Lexus products from the 2011, 2012 era using the 2gfe engines are some of the best ever. Best Lexus = best Toyota= some of the best vehicles period. Ever. It's 2023, we have a 2011 Lexus ES 350 and 2012 rx 350 both touring models fairly optioned and with 280000 kms + . Still running perfectly, minimal maintenance and everything in great condition. The only problem is the es with its light leather and untinted windows. The perforated leather cracked and deteriorated at about 10 years but matching seat covers makes us forget.
I am sure all mothers think their child is the best and they surely ARE.
Just don't overlook what made Lexus Legendary ..
First gen LS
First gen RX
These put Lexus on the map. There have been improvements and mis-steps and some jewels that were not market success like _____ & _____ [I am leaving them blank for members to fill out the blanks.]

Sorry the 'ES' line has never been my fovorite ... front wheel drive sedan, but that is MY problem.

I had a hard time deciding if I wanted the 2nd gen RX350 or the third gen. The body of the 2nd gen. is slightly narrower. I like that and I love the taillights but the dashboard of the third gen. won me over.
Second gen is a great looking car. It was unique - nothing else looked like it when it first came out. Third gen kind of “streamlined” the look but still very similar. It was a nice progression in design.
Not a fan of the 4th gen and newer. I’ve never been into the floating roof. I’m sure Toyota/Nissan/Etc implemented it to break down the quarter panel sheet metal into smaller parts to save cost. Now they’re doing it on all their cars. In my opinion, the only instance in which a floating roof works is Range Rover due to the entire design being built around it.
