parking sensor malfunction

2012 RX350 - front driver parking sensor beeps constantly.until car is moving above 5 mph. When I slow down below 5 mph it starts again. Have inspected and cleaned the surface. Any ideas of the cause?

That sensor may be in the process of failing. How long has this been occurring?
