this happened to my wife in 2016 (I posted an alert on here back then) coming home from work (2011 rx350) another motorist alerted her and she made it home with about a quart left which ended up on my driveway..it was towed to dealer and thankfully car is ok as i use it now and it has 109,000 miles and still strong. Your are correct it was not a recall and absolutely ridiculous..

Reason: add date
The rupture happened to our 2010 rx450h last fall. Oilstream leading to our driveway, repaired by a nearby shop. Couldn't believe that Lexus would not offer to reimburse for the cost!
Anyone who has a 2010-2012 Toyota / Lexus with a 3.5 v6, check today, not tomorrow. Today. If those rubber lines crack or blow, you have minutes before total engine failure.
