Factory fill is 85W90 1L in front t-case and rear diff. I have been running 75W90 synthetic GL-5 in both for years (2002 Highlander and 2014 RX350) with no issue. Comes out real clean too.

1+ synthetic for sure! I have run syn DEX 6 in my power steering for years and it comes out cleaner too. Less resistance and noise from the system on cold starts too. Probably benefits us Canadians more than most where it gets colder. The original diff oil was pretty thick and didn't flow well when I tried to drain it cold.

I used regular Redline. NS “Non-Slip” is mainly for manual trannys to slow down synchros, it doesn’t have the friction modifiers the regular stuff has. However, I bet it would still work great in our diffs or t-cases.

thank you I ended up getting
redline 75w90 NS (non lsd) full synthetic
due to supply i couldn't find the normal redline 75w90
hopefully the redline 75w90 NS full synthetic doesn't cause an issues.
from my understanding the car does not have LSD so should be fine. we will see lol...
thx for the help mate.

Should be fine. These cars never had LSDs, but a 99-00 RX300 limited slip rear diff can be fitted. That’s a mechanical (Torsen T2) diff, so it still doesn’t require LSD oil as there are no clutch packs.

I just checked my Amazon history and I did actually accidentally get NS and put it in over a year ago in my t-case. It has been a lot smoother than the original black, burned fluid and is as quiet as can be. I wouldn’t worry about running NS in our cars.
