Default No audio

Hi all, I have a 2008 RX400h and the stereo quit, no sound. The Lexus dealer near me said it’s usually the ML amplifier that quits, anyone else having the same issue here ? If so, what’s the best solution or my options?

First of all, do you have the ML audio system in your car? The standard and ML systems use different parts. The amplifier is very expensive in both systems, crazy expensive in the ML system. But it may not be the amplifier, it could be the head unit. Either way, the least expensive route is to get an after-market audio system. If you can't do the work yourself, it becomes more expensive to have someone do it for you.

Yea it’s ML, I spoke to an audio shop and they said the same and would have to replace the entire audio stereo ie both head unit and amplifier. Either way it’s extremely expensive. I may have to do a cross over bypass myself.

Not sure if you are looking for a quick fix and want replace everything or if you have DC electric skills and want to troubleshoot and how much work you want to put into it.
I have full wiring RX400 ML audio and don't mind helping if you can share your fix and findings with the forum for the next guy.
It takes work to dig thru the schematics and will need to know more about what is working and what is not working in the audio/video for a place to start, including anything else glitching and not working that may not appear to be related because of the way this all stitches together.
