Default Is there a split CV boot available for the RX

My outboard passenger side CV joint has a cracked boot but it’s still smooth and quiet. I’d like to just replace the boot and wondering if there’s one available like I’ve seen on the Internet called a split boot, that allows replacement of the boot without removing the axle?

Yea its some work to replace a boot, but its worth doing if the joint is still good, not w/ dirt/debris....

Hi bcolins, if you plan to keep the car for a few years I wouldn't do a quick boot.

We called them "Zip boots" back in the day and none of the shops I worked at would install them due to customer comeback and complaints.
That was 30 years ago so maybe they have improved. I don't know.

My last involvement with split boots was back around 2015 and they were still garbage. You would be lucky if it lasted a year under the most ideal conditions, such as if you never drove the car.

I like reading your posts, seems like some humor always mixed in there under the surface and it cracks me up.

Not seeing any love yet for the quickie split boots...
