Help on minor engine vibration
Good evening! My 2006 RX330 (with 72,000 miles) suddenly developed a small but very perceptivable engine vibration on idle. It worsens a bit when I select Drive. Once the car starts moving the vibration goes away. I was wondering if anyone could kindly direct me on what to look for? First I thought it would be a transmission issue, but it is doubtful as the engine vibration is also perceptible on Park. Could it be engine mounts? On this matter, I thought it would be also a far shot as it developed suddenly, from one day to the next. One final comment: the engine at iddle sounds different than usual, no missfiring but it certainly sounds muffled, not normal. THANKS A LOT in advance!

Reading your thread, it sounds like a engine misfire. When was the plugs replaced? How many miles on the plugs? Next would be a coil.

I been dealing with very minor vibrations on and off and replacing the motor mounts helped some but only because it was hiding minor misfires.
That reminds me, I need to clean my throttle body it's been about a year.

You can always post up your live data from your scanner so we can have a look if you like.
Fuel trims, MAF(displayed gram's if you can), air temp, coolant temp, etc- At Idle and Warmed Fully Up.
