Default How do I remove headrest poles front seats. Replacing leather

I am a doing diy on how to replace the leather on the leather seats but cannot get the headrest poles out. Any suggestions? There seem to be a mechanism on the inside of the seat? I didn’t remember this car having automatic headrests? Any suggestions on how to remove ?

Unless the leather is torn they can be made to look like new again usually even when they look rough and horrible.

I don't know what year your RX is but I have the manual for the 2008 version. If you look at the attached seats.pdf, there is some good information about removing the headrests on page 48 as well as some exploded photos on page 41. I hope they will help. Bob

I checked the seats file, it shows you the blow up of the screws you need to remove and by the way where did you get the leather seats? Thanks.
