Default 2008 RX350 Adaptive Headlights, Need Help

Question, I have a 2008 Lexus RX350 AWD 3.5. Both Adaptive Headlights got smashed by a Vandal. Does anyone know if you can change over to standard Headlights instead of the Adaptive ones with some wiring mods. Has anybody done this already. The stock lights are so expensive. If you can't do this does anyone on this site have any for sale or know were I can get a pair other than the dealer. I haven't had any luck with the Auto Recyclers. This is an American Lexus not Japanese. I'm so Bummed as I only have Liability On the vehicle and can't do anything with the insurance. I would imagine the insurance company would Total it anyway as Lexus charges $2500 for each light. Anyone that could help would be Highly appreciated. The RX350 only has 114,000 miles on it. Thank You Roger, Vista, Ca

Hi, bummer to hear (read) this......I wouldn't think it'd matter whether it was produced in Japan or canada just add. You should be able to buy the complete standard type housings of which that'd delete your hid's......For me it wasn't that much more for full coverage as we'd always had full coverage on the vehicles.

yup! if u can afford it; full coverage is the only way to go because in a case like this it should be covered; but if u dont have full coverage and just liability; then yea its gonna be sorta 50 50. U might get lucky and find replacements for not too much but u also might not.

I got a new pair on ebay like this.

I had HIDs with Adaptve but the aftermarket without Adaptive fit mine good.

If I remember right my original headlights had an extra plug for the headlight motors that I just left unplugged but that was the only difference I remember right.

Someday if I ever get back in there I'll take a look since I dont remember 100% but I think that's what I did.

Yeah I have no more Adaptive but I don't need it anyway.

Can you share a link for the headlight assembly you purchased? All I've found recently are poor quality aftermarket assemblies and I don't want to use those. Thanks
