Can I replace my 100 amp alternator with a 130amp alternator?

There are factory equipped 130amp alternators for your vehicle so i dont see why not.

Yea you can, as I checked the two alternators out when mine went out last late December. I just stuck w/ the 100amp one thou....

Just curious why would you upgrade the alternator do you have an audio system or or offroad lights?

Thats what I'm thinking too? As I had the chance to, but why? Use a AGM battery, make sure all the connects are clean.....

Yah I dont really see a need to have a larger alternator is the 130 amp one on the RX400 because its a hybrid and the rx350 and rx330 the 100 amp? I did not even know there was two different alternators till I saw this thread.

400H does not have an alternator to charge the 12v aux battery.

130amp alt is for vehicles equiped with a factory towing package.

100amp are for the standard w/out towing package.

Mine came with 130 amp because I have factory tow package but I don't need it...
Unless I pull a trailer lit up like a christmas tree maybe lol.
Plugs and wiring appear the same so either should work like Nad1370 and Felixheca say.
