Default 2nd radiator???

Hi Guys,
Managed to get a condenser for my car so got the air con working again. However my mechanic said that there is a small radiator behind the main radiator which he believes is to cool the hybrid batteries. He says it's in a bad way and recommends replacement. Does anyone know what the name is for this small radiator and has anyone had to replace it in the past?

I think you are referring to the radiator that is part of the inverter cooling system. Lexus simply calls it "radiator". It is part number G9010-4801. You didn't say what year your car is, so your car may use a different part number.

Here is a link to a parts diagram - https://www.mylparts.com/v-2007-lexu...ing-components

Turns out the 2007 that I arbitrarily selected and your 2008 utilize the same part, G9010-4801.

Many thanks, unfortunately RockAuto are out of this part at present so need to save my pennies in case I need to buy a new one (a small fortune for such a small part, but my mechanic says the RX is sound in all departments other than this inverter radiator and i love the car).

I can get a second hand one from a Lexus car breaker for £120 delivered, it has a 12 month warranty but I'm not too sure it would be the solution as the part would be probably as old if not older than my car!

You may want to consider the radiator from the car breaker. This radiator does not seem to be a part that fails frequently, so you may be an unfortunate owner.

Good idea, now in the process of contacting car breakers in the UK. Thanks
