Sonnax Zip Kit For RX350
So I took my RX350 to a local transmission guru and he has run diagnostics and driven the vehicle for a week and cannot get it to replicate what my daughter said it was doing but he is experiencing very harsh downshift and thinks a Zip Kit will fix this
problem...any experience or thoughts on these kits?

A zip kit is used on many different types of equipment. They are rarely. if ever, made by the manufacturer of the equipment. They are put together by aftermarket parts suppliers. They are also called "go kits". These kits are a convenience for the repair person that only has to order one thing instead of many items.
A zip kit will have the gaskets, o-rings, seals and whatever is needed for a certain type of repair. Whether a zip kit or a go kit contains the parts to fix a problem all depends on the repair person knowing what is wrong and ordering the appropriate kit.
The Sonnex company says that their zip kit will "Correcting Common Shift Problems", so it still depends on your mechanic knowing exactly what the problem is.
