Default Acceleration Noise RX330

I have a RX330 and I have noticed a vibration noise on acceleration, particularly when starting up on a hill or steep slope. On the first visit to service they said it was a loose part on the dash. That didn't fix the problem. Then they indicated the exhaust manifold recall repair would take care of the problem. It didn't make any difference. Is anyone else having this problem?

Do you have a FWD or AWD? If it's a FWD, it maybe have to do with the traction. Also check the tire pressure, lower it if it's too high.

If not contact the another dealer to check it out and don't forget to upgrade the ECM.

Good luck.

Default Vibes

I have the same problem. I'm not sure but it seems to be the exhaust system vibrating and sending a slight shudder throughout the car. It happens on heavy acceleration or up an incline. I am also noticing an increased vibration at a stop while at idle. Will post when I know more.

It is apparently showing up on a significant number of vehicles. Hopefully, Lexus engineering will identify and issue a tech. bulletin on the problem..

Since I'm still at break-in, I haven't stomped on the gas, but there is a very low, sort of loud purr that emits when accelerating; I sort of like it. My IS and mom's ES doesn't make that purr. Maybe Lexus is taking on a more "sporting" genre?
