My wife has a 2007 RX 350 and when she got back to her car after work, the horn was beeping softly every 2 secondsish and there was a green light flashing on the dash in conjunction with the horn (she said it looked like a sun, I'm guessing a light symbol). She said that neither her headlights or blinkers were flashing and the car was off, locked, and in park. She said she was able to unlock the car with the FOB and get in, but it would not start. She jumped the car and it seemed to make the problem disappear.

Any ideas what was going on? Is that just a low/dead battery indicator (battery is just over 2 years old from Costco)?

That's odd. Sounds almost like the alarm went off and killed the battery. That being said, a low 12v battery can cause all sorts of issues, I'd get it tested for free at an auto parts store.
