Parasitic Drain
Hello, I have a 2008 RX400h. After not driving it for a few day, the 12v battery was dead. I recharged the battery and did a battery test including load test. It checked ok. I then did a parasitic drain test. The drain was running around 90-100ma. I made sure everything externally was off including door switches, etc. I went through the system by removing each fuse individually. When I removed the "OBD" fuse, the drain went from 100ma to 30ma. There is no scanner in the socket. This seems excessive to me. Is it normal for the OBD to use so much power without a scanner? Any solutions? I currently have removed the fuse altogether to help reduce the drain. Thanks in advance!
