Finally had a chance to get to this repair today. I noticed this rust spot about a year ago. I don't know how long it's been there as I don't pay too much attention to this car but I know i wanted to tackle it before it ended up looking like all of the honda's i've owned, LOL.

It's all prepped and covered up now. I will spray some rustoleum rust converter and apply touch up paint tomorrow. I didn't see anything rusted through thank goodness so i don't think i will have to use any body filler / bondo type product. I will liberally spray rust converter /sealant on the inside of the wheel well to protect it from rusting any further.


There is a bead of some rubbery material that goes along the wheel well that's paint matched. When I picked at it and got under it i noticed that there is a decent amount of rustHas anyone else had rust issues on their 2nd gen RX? I'm trying to keep this vehicle forever. Rust for me has historically been an excuse to get a new car...
