Engine/Radiator Fan Loud when Driving
Hi all,
Have a 2005 RX330 with 170K miles.
Radiator fan is running loud in stop and go traffic, but once I come to a stop, it goes quiet. Also, I occasionally hear noises of liquid (hard to explain). At low speeds the engine thermometer needle is close to H.
Recently found multiple cracks in the coolant reservoir, causing the coolant to leak, and the engine would run hot. Long story short, I fixed the leaks and this issue continues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may have air pockets trapped in the engine. As air bubbles flow through the heater core they could be the liquid sounds you hear. The engine running hot when idling or driving slow is a symptom of low coolant level and If you have air pockets, you are low on coolant.
The overflow reservoir tank had multiple cracks, as the coolant would flow into the tank, it would leak out. After repairing the reservoir tank and adding coolant to the system, the engine no longer runs hot and loud.
