Default HELP 2007 Lexus RX400H Trailer wiring harness problem.

I did the research and purchased the wiring harness that is supposed to be plug and play but It is not. Please see pictures. Can I just cut the connector off and splice the 4 wires in? Which wire goes with which wire? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am supposed to leave for Florida on Sunday towing a 5x8 Uhaul trailer.

Your new harness matches my 2006. Where did you find the plug? Mine was under the tray on the left side of my trunk.

Correct it is on the driver's side of the car, in the rear above the tire.

That purchased trailer connector appears to be the same one for my Gen 2 RX330.

It is the location. And the video I watched on Youtube was a 400H but had that connector. The connector only uses 4 wires, 2 I can figure out 2 I need help with. I can't believe I am the only one who needed to find this out.

If anyone could help me or tell me how to figure out what wire goes where that would help a lot.

Are you sure the plug is for the lexus trailer harness? Lexus wiring color match all the color except for the brown which is Blue on the Lexus harness.

Default Wow I can be stupid.

Showed that plug to a Lexus mechanic and explained the problem. He started laughing when he finally finished he explained the one I wanted was about a foot behind that. And yes it is the correct harness. Thanks to everyone who helped out. Guess I should have read the tutorial a bit better. I stopped at the first plug I found and panicked. It's in and works great. Ready for the trailer and long haul to Florida.

In case anyone is wondering the connector is located behind the driver's side rear wheel well.

I case anyone needs to replace that OE Lexus wiring harness only, the CURT 55255 for Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute appears to be a direct fi for under $15.. however I have yet to order one. Will do so when refinishing my hitch
