Replaced brake switch now cruise flashes?
I have 2004 RX-330 that I did the replacement switch from Duralast@ Autozone>I had to trim the plug tail to make tight clearance!>The switch is fine...I think>But no matter how I adjust the switch>The cruise will no longer set regardless?>Any ideas as to my quandary??

Why was the brake light switch replaced? Trimming the plug tail indicate either a poorly constructed switch or the wrong switch. The cruise control uses the brake light circuit to determine when to disengage cruise control. Since you're doing the work yourself I would buy a genuine OEM TOYOTA BRAKE SWITCH. Is the brake light on when you depress the brake?

Yes the switch solved the 5 lights that stayed on in dash>>It works when depressed.I just don't know if I have new problem or the switch just will not let cruise work??>P.S> The other switch was definitely bad>>but cruise use to work before replacing switch.
