To clarify...this is the AC blower motor with the fan attached. Anyone have any experience with this brand, VDO? I'm mostly concerned with durability and noise....but mostly noise since that seems to come up most often when discussing this part. This is for a 2008 RX 400h. Calls for the VDO part of PM9382 and appears to only/mostly be available at Autozone.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

 

Just got one a couple of months ago. It seems to move more air than the OEM fan did and operation is smooth and quiet. I chose this particular fan due to the dual bearing design (vs the bushing design used by other manufacturers) and the fact that it's made in an ISO 9001 and TS 16949 certified manufacturing plant. I also got it on JCWhitney.com for $53 shipped (I believe Autozone was about $70 plus tax.)

 

Thanks Mr. Bone! I saw similar details about the part elsewhere, bearings and ISO specs, so to have them confirmed is great. I'll check out JCWhitney as well. Tired of over analyzing this nonsense so it's trigger pulling time!!
