windshield wiper reservoir
I have 2008 RX 350 It came from Santa Clara Cali. I live in Bend Or. where the winter nights are freezing. The reservoir has regular bug juice what ever freezing type fluid in it and I need to replace it with like -20 washer fluid is there an easy way to drain the reservoir or just hold the wiper washer handle and drain the reservoir
Is there an other easy way to drain the reservoir, I was looking at the reservoir and it looks like a cluster mess buried in plastic and metal ?
Is there a rear reservoir or does it feed off of the front one. I was looking at a U-Tube vid and it was taking about the front one and it said " when you are filling up the front one and if you have a rear wiper (which I have) be sure to fill up the rear one" . It doesn't show it in my owners manual or my Haynes repair manual where it is, I assume it would be in the hatch back area which I checked but could not find it, big mystery, can anybody confirm ??

Suck it out. Turkey baster few bucks in Walmart. Btw, my son had -20 in his Civic and nozzles froze anyway when driving from ID to WA in OR.
here's thing to consider. Buy bottle of rubbing alcohol and pour it into canister, to mix with windshield fluid. Alcohol lowers freezing point of any fluid and acts as cleaning agent too. Then make sure you run it enough for that mix to get into hoses and nozzles. Back in 'ol country we used to dump a bottle of vodka in. They add methyl to WF as freeze point lowering agent.

You welcome. But be prepared to explain booze smell to your passengers. Just kidding. But it does give some odor to it.
Not aware of the 2nd reservoir for the rear. But as line to it apparently runs across the heated car, I'd be less concerned with it freezing. Usually, nozzles freeze due to the wind chill effect.
When I said bottle - I meant liter bottle.
