Radio/cd won't play sound but tapedeck works, with sound
My 2007 RX4500H Marc Levinson radio system with cassette stopped producing sound, except through the cassette player. I can navigate through the AM/FM radio, see the station ID's and volume level, but no sound whatever (not even static). Nothing works on the CD, including inability to load or turn it on. The cassette player however works perfectly with sound. Any ideas?

Guess this is not a common problem and I was hoping that there would be a reset function with the audio system. May have to just bite the expensive bullet and take it to the dealer for assessment.

You can always try disconnecting the battery negative cable for about 30 min. for a complete reset....
if that fails, there is the option of purchasing a used OEM head unit, it's a fairly simple DIY to swap OEM head units.

Thanks for the follow-up and suggestion for used unit. The battery was completely dead, which actually caused the problem, although I didn't disconnect the cable. I will try the disconnect and see how it goes.
