Default Coolant?

Just had water pump. engine coolant rplaced and just had the coolant completely leak out of engine. Can I use any coolant to refill to get me to the dealership in the morning for repairs? Lexus rx350 2008

Toyota Long Life Coolant is the only coolant recommended.

Started using Valvoline Asian Red Coolant a while ago. Radiator is leaking…coincidence?

I wouldn't think so.

I had to replace something 3 or 4 years ago and I used the PEAK ASIAN Pink/Red. Haven't had a problem since.

I did notice that if Pre planning ROck auto will ship coolant and it is still cheaper than autoparts stores.

For the OP, if it's leaking out anyway and you just need it to get to the dealer, I'd still get one that meets specs, but doesn't have to be highest end as it sounds like it will all get flushed soon anwyway. Just what I'd do.
Others may have a different opinon.

Clearly not in time, but to set the record straight for reference: distilled or deionized water.

If it’s above freezing, distilled water is going to work fine. No need to waste coolant. Water is a better coolant than a water/alcohol mix. It has long-term downsides (corrosion, freezing), but not for a short term use (racers do it).
