RX330 Volume stuck at ZERO
2005 RX330 with nav - non ML stereo with 6 cd and tape - P6847 on cassette door. Please advise what solutions worked for you if you've had the same problem.
System just stopped working - neither volume **** nor the steering wheel control will move up from Zero. All other functions work... just no way to adjust the volume up. No pop in the speakers turning the system on and off. Navigation voice comes in at all volume levels in LF dashboard speaker - nav voice volume is controlled by nav screen prompts.
+I've disconnected the battery cables and let capacitors drain for four hours - still there. I've looked at the fuse for TEL like another owner did... nothing even populated to plug in a fuse there and no other fuses blown.
I do not play loudly - and am not ready to change over to aftermarket stereo - Dealer quoted $700 for new head unit and said it may be the amp too@ another $600 + labor = give me a break. Looking at used replacements on ebay - anyone had luck elsewhere finding a good unit ?
Finally - if this is a P6847 assigned system - will other systems (say P6860) work ?? Is there a hardware or software guru out there who can help ??

Have you tried disconnecting your battery? You will never know. Try it.
