2006 RX330 Condenser Replacement DIY
I'm hoping someone can help shed some light on this replacement.
Can anyone confirm the steps to replace the condenser? Is it truly required to remove the radiator and fan? I was under the assumption I could access and remove it without removing these components. Can anyone confirm? @Kellybh stated it wasn't too difficult but didn't really elaborate in his post about his experience. Can anyone shed any light on the process or is there an applicable DIY out there that I just haven't found yet for the Gen 2 RX?
My condenser was damaged as a result of road debris. It currently won't hold pressure at all. Dye test showed the puncture. I'm planning on doing the replacement tomorrow and also adding mesh to my air dam for future protection. I'm replacing the condenser and drier and then taking it to a shop to have the system evacuated and recharged. I've had some places quote me $70-120 for this portion of the recharge.
