Part differences between Candian and Japanese assembly?
I would think that there ought to be 0 differences but sometimes I do notice that there different part numbers depending on assembly location.
Does anyone have a list of differences?
Thanks!

It has to do with the suppliers between the 2 facilities. Mainly sensors and the like but there is really no rhyme or reason to it. Use mylparts to view diagrams and listings which will describe which parts fit which country of origin. Then you can take that correct part number and description to any parts store and buy the correct part for yours. I usually just order from mylparts then and there.

Parts will be identical, has to be. That's the intent.

There are differences with some parts. Headlights are one. It's good to know what you're buying, especially if you buy the wrong $1,600 headlight. It wouldn't be a good day. O2 and A/F sensors are also different.
If your VIN starts with 2T2, it's Canadian.

I am a bit confused about the differences between Japan and US made RX. If they are sold in the US, then they have to be identical.

They are same spec but have different part numbers and can be different slightly. Read my second post as to how to order correct part number.

You are right, you have to specify the VIN number when buying. For you to get the correct version.
