Default Luxury Redefined Event

Surprised I didn't see a thread for the Lexus Luxury Redefined Event last weekend, rainy though at the site in Kenett Square, PA.. Very nice event, kudos to Lexus, as usual.

Anyone go and what did you think?

Where can you find a schedule for these events?

herbvdh, yes it was great, too bad the weather was aweful in PA or I would have stayed all day.

Taking a few different brands of SUV up the hill climb , and down with the descent control was a new experience. Loved the GX vs the others. 330 drove great on the road, I am ready to trade my ' 03 now! It was a wonderful way to evqaluate other brands with the Lexus SUVs. Frankly I think I'd take the Lexus ones over the others straight up for overall value and design characteristics.

Much tks to Lexus for a great event, even my wife (not a car person but lover of our 300) liked it!

Da**, makes me want to go out and buy the next neat car they come up with too!

Does anyone know how the invitations were selected? Two-Lexus owners?

I was invited to one of these events before I had two Lexus. My LS400 is going to be traded in on a Hybrid RX330 when it is available.

herb, I too am looking forward to the hybrid era. Finally some exciting and LONG overdue innovation in car design is evolving, and Lexus/Toyota appears to be out in front, again.

The wife and I are going to the one in Oak Brook, IL this weekend. I'm going to have to drag her there, but I'm hoping she'll like it when we get there...otherwise it will be a short stay and a very LONG DAY of complaining!!!

I registered for it on luxuryredefined.com...it's open to everyone that registers and has a valid DL.

Thanks for the link. I guess IL is the last one this year?

apwoodr, you really should go and drag her there if necessary!

You'll have a great time driving the Lexus vehicles right next to Lexus' competitors vehicles. Kudos to Lexus for this approach, I hope they find it works to their advantage and continue the approach of showing their line against the competition. I found their cars of equal or better value and certainly have more appealing and creative designs overall.

Hope the lines for the test drives are not too long for you, ours weren't too bad as it rained and likely many folks did not show. Cars, total presentation and food are great!

I'd be interested to hear what you thought of the show.

Arre you a Lexus owner?

herbvdh, after my experience with a RX'99, if I ever decide to buy any brand of new car again from a dealer, especially in the first model year with a new technology such as the barely proven hybrid technology, which the company is trying to sell and which may have minor or more significant technological issues, I will make the dealer give me a written agreement it will divuldge all fixes and repairs for the vehicle as the manufacturer issues them and FIX them under warranty! With a hybrid I will require that for the life of the vehicle so long as I own it.

Oh she's goin' ,like it or not!! She just doesn't get excited about cars like I do. We don't own a Lexus YET, but I've been looking (and lurking here) for awhile. I almost bought a 2003 RX300 but after I saw the 330, I decided to wait. I'm hoping that if I wait a few more months I'll be able to get a better deal when the demand dies down a little (or production increases). I'll post a review after this weekend.

The wife and I attended the Luxury Redefined Event yesterday in Oak Brook, IL. I was told it was the last one for the year. We arrived around 11 am and left at 1:30, before it started to rain. While we there the weather was very nice, but a little windy. After we attended the welcome orientation meeting, we went straight to the RX test drive area. We had already driven an X3 and were anxious to see the how much better the RX would be. Both of us walked away impressed, and we now can't wait to buy one!!! I also drove the offroad course in the LX, GX, and Lincoln Aviator (just because there was no line). Lincoln needs a lot of help in the luxury SUV market...yuck!

We both left the event very impressed. The wife best described Lexus with one word, CLASSY. We filled out a survey as we left and the lady said we would receive a voucher for $500 if we purchased a Lexus in June. Has anyone received one of these vouchers yet?
