2ND Gen RX350 with aftermarket Camry mods
Was wondering if anyone has opted for Toyota Camry aftermarket parts and installed them on your second GENERATION RX since they share the same 2GR-FE engine? CAI, short rams, headers, pistons etc. seems possible but I haven't heard or seen anyone do this.

I've been looking into this for a 3rd gen Highlander I work on as that also shares the same 2GR-FE engine. Personally only mods I would do is a throttle controller and reusable air filter in the stock airbox. These are feasible and carry noticeable effects. A short ram would technically work but the heat shield probably won't fit, doubt a CAI would work at all. Headers and pistons aren't my cup of tea for our generation, the newer F sport RX's on the other hand.....

Ever since Toyota switched to drive by wire, the lag is ridiculous on the throttle. I've noticed this across the board, from the 4 cylinders all the way to the big 4.7L 8 cylinders. Only newer cars with different "modes" have been able to counter this but these are on only premium cars like the F sport Lexus' and etc. I have a throttle controller on my 4 cylinder Camry and it makes it much more enjoyable to drive. Obviously it does not make it faster but when compared to my Corolla which is a throttle cable, the delay is noticeable without the controller.

Honestly, I don't think the 4 cylinder throttles are as bad as the V6's.
They programmed the lag in the throttle to allow the transmission sufficient time to build up pressure and shift into gear properly, and to protect the transmission from erratic changes in torque from the more powerful engines.
As for Camry interchangeable parts - I've seen people go the other way, and put Highlander/RX brakes and wheels on a Camry.

But, on my Camry's 2AZ-FE, it's pretty bad man, compared to the teeny tiny 2ZZ-GE on my Corolla with the throttle cable. Now that I have my Lexus, you are right, it is even worse on the V6's. No issues with my trans, still shifts smooth but I keep up with maintenance.
