My rx350 just got a new alternator after a fault on the road. It was replaced, and driving the car for a few days and then driving home a bad rattling noise in the engine bay pink residue all over under the bonnet. The VSC & Emiision control lamp light on and the engine ticks over but will not stay on for long. Please any help advice

I wouldn't try and drive your car in the description you described. You can cause damage to your engine. I would have it towed to a shop. I'm guessing there's an issue with your waterpump and the pink residue you're describing is your coolant. Maybe the shop who installed your alternator didn't put everything back together properly.

Check your fluid levels and inspect the passenger side of engine bay with car cool and off. Check belt routing and water pump, just above and left of tensioner pulley. If it failed, dried coolant is likely visible there. Get an OBD2 scanner, plug it in under your dash to see what codes are present and why VSC and MIL are on, then you can better diagnose.
