Default Looking for that Needle in a Haystack

I am new to this great site because I am in the process of buying a RX 350 AWD. I have searched several sites listing used versions around the Chicago area. Having spent 12 years working in the Porsche-Audi business at the dealership level I know a bit about how things work. My questions focus on :
Is the Air Suspension a problem area ?
Can you tow with it ?
Can you run the VIN # and see what options the car is built with ? How can you find that info ?
Where can I find the options offered and the option groups for these units ?
I see the "Oil Line" issues that need to be considered, are there any other big ones I should look for service wise ?
Thanks so much for any replies, it's so great to have people to share with !

welcome to the forum.
1) yes, air suspension can be an issue

2) can you tow with it? yup, 3500 lbs capacity

3) VIN - yes you can run the the vin to see what options came with the car: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/vindecoder.php

4) options: easiest to pull up the pdf brochure for the model yr. Here is 2008, page 12 is where the options are:

Numbafree nailed it. You can also utilize your local dealer, Bredemann Lexus in Park Ridge/Glenview ran my VIN for free.

Check for rack and pinion leaks. Common problem on 07,08 RX350s

Register it and run the VIN here: http://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/

Service tab, then down to service records. It will show all dealer maintenance, even tech comments

The VIN decoder on here isn't accurate. It states mine has air suspension, which it clearly doesn't, and it didn't identify many options mine has. It's rather pretty vague in what it shows.
