I have 2008 RX 350 with a rear wiper motor problem it will move about half way across the rear window and then stop at which point I then go to the back of the car and give it a small push and it completes the cycle. I think the motor needs to be replaced however I was wondering if any one had a similar problem and what you did to correct it.

For me, the motor was fine but it was gummed up with rust dirt and grime, so I took it all out and cleaned it. First few days it worked, but was squeaky but once the grease and oil worked it's way trough everything, it works like new.

Thank you for replying I have a couple of question if you would be so kind to answer I would greatly appreciate it. Did you take the motor apart or just clean the outside of it and any recommendations or anything I should be aware of on removing the motor for for cleaning.

I just took apart what i could see, youll see a bunch of rust and crud around where part that goes through the glass that connects the wiper and the motor is. I basically drenched it in marvel mystery oil and let it sit. I don' have any readl directions, i just sort of figured it out as i went along. Sorry
