Wiper second speed setting too acts as automatic. Why?
Hey all,
I just noticed today that the wiper second speed setting is acting like the first automatic setting.
It kept running for about 4 turns and then stopped as if to sense the rain and then kept going for another 4/5 runs. When I flipped it to the automatic setting, I got the same response.
So now I have 1-automatic 2-automatic 3-fast
where it should be 1-automatic 2-medium speed 3-fast
Well it worked fine couple of weeks ago.
Experienced this before? Know a way to reset this?

I have noticed some irregularities with the rain sensing wipers. In direct sunlight they seem to freeze and if your windshield isn't cleaned regularly they it gives me issues as well. Otherwise it's usually ok. Try cleaning your glass from the inside and note that the sensor is under the rear view mirror mount. If I remember correctly it uses a certain light wave to detect the amount of rain.
