2004 RX330- 109,000... Good buy?
Hey! I was wondering if y'all could give me some advice. I'm strongly considering purchasing a 2004 Lexus RX330 with 109,000 miles for $9990. It seems to be in pretty good conditions outside of normal wear. I signed up on the Lexus website and found a plethora of service records for it. It seems as if this Lexus was well-maintained. Should I purchase? How many miles do you think I will get out of it?

i would say somewhere between 8k & 9k would be a better deal. However, saying that, it depends on your local market and what they are going for- check listing for your zip. I plan on getting another new vehicle in the next year and my '04 currently has 68k on it and I have a waiting list to pick it up at around 9k. Like the previous poster stated, make sure the belt & water pump has been replaced.

Well for my area (north Atlanta suburbs) it seems that this particular Lexus is the best one available for that price with an okay amount of miles. I was able to view the service records of it and it seems the previous took meticulous care of it. Service every 5000 miles and whenever anything went wrong. This particular Lexus comes with navigation and a lot of features I couldn't find on other models for sale in the area.

Check the VIN - the J's (Made in Japan) are very reliable.
Were those highway or city miles? Makes a difference - 100,000 miles at 25mph is 2.5x the driving hours compared to 60mph.
Very important, stay away from air suspension models - had to replace on one of ours, major expense.

Here in the bay area, northern CA, if it has a luxury pack, or Nav/ML stereo, it'd be north of $10k on CL. more like $11k, and that would be a deal.
Mine is a 2005, luxury pack, 164k miles, I paid $7400 cash, listed at $8600. new alternator, drive belt and water pump.

Rx 330 2004
It could be a pretty good buy if the timing belt and the water pump have been replaced, otherwise not good. But the mileage is really good for the year and that maybe why it priced higher. I took the drive to Atlanta in August to find mine, it had 134,000 miles on it, pd $8400-navigation system and more. The maintenance records were from the dealership, and it runs smooth as silk. Hopefully I will drive it for at least another 100,000 miles. Love it!
