Default Nav DVD will not eject

I am looking for help with Mrs. Gadget's 2008 Lexus RX400h

Granted, she rarely if ever uses the navigation system, but I have the latest edition DVD and would like to install it. Unlike several of the threads I found when searching here and the world wide web, I know where the nav system is and how to eject the disk. Unfortunately, the slide and push mechanism will neither slide nor push and therefore the disk will not eject. I tried ejecting the disk with the key in the accessory, on and engine running positions. I also removed and unplugged the DVD and let it sit for over an hour. All to no avail.

Short of getting a bigger hammer, any suggestions about how to eject the disk would be appreciated.

If the switch will not slide then you need to remove the DVD player so you can pop the face off of it. It is pretty easy. If the switch will slide, which opens up the slot to the disk, then try to press the upper right corner, lower right corner, upper right of the navi screen to get it to eject. (if that does not work try left )

Thank you smassey321!

I removed the face plate and was able to change the nav DVD.
