Default RX330 Burning oil and PCV replacement

I recently replaced the PCV valves on a few vehicles after watching Scotty Kilmer YouTube video on fixing a oil burning engine for 10 bucks. My 2004 RX330 with 208k miles loses about 1/2 quart every 5000 miles using 5w30. My 2008 Scion XD with the 1.8L engine (same as Corolla) now at 116k miles burns 3/4 quart every 1000 miles which started at 90000 miles using 5w20. Don't know if in-laws 2005 2.4L Camry at 94k miles loses any oil but I changed it anyways. Above are pictures of the PCV valves. From left to right are the new one, Camry's, Scions, and Lexus. To test if the PCV valve is stuck is to blow into it. If you are able to blow air thru it, it is stuck. You should only be able to suck air thru it. So on both the Scion and Lexus, I was able to blow and suck air out if it so they were bad likely from the gummed up oil inside. I don't really know if the stuck PCV valve causes the oil burn or if it is a byproduct of a oil burning engine, but if this a possible cause of losing oil, it should be part of the routine maintenance in the manual. These valves were never replaced until now and you can see the condition they are in. Yes, they all rattle inside but not as easily as the new one. I went to Oreillys and picked up a Microguard PCV valve for 5.99 for the RX330 as I couldn't wait but used OEM on the others as time allowed. I'll probably change this every 50-60k miles to be safe.

Well you know what for 10 bucks I might try this on my Camry. It's known to burn oil at it's age, 2002 @ 175k miles, but I guess this doesn't hurt to try replacing it. Good post.
