Just got mine replaced about getting on the wait list in November of last year
Dash looks great but now the car reeks of cigarette smoke. Not sure if they were storing in a chainsmoker's living room but will be taking the car back to them.

Mine was ordered about a month ago. I was at the dealer yesterday to pick up a part and asked the parts guy how long the average wait was. He said it was averaging about a year from order to delivery... sigh.

Got first letter in March 2015 about the enhancement. Received second letter to make appointment with dealer in June 2015. Took car to appointment in September 2015. Got the dash replaced in March 2017.

Was told I was 1.5 years out easily…
The person I talked with sounded like she was pissed at me for expecting this to happen quickly…what gives!

As I mentioned earlier, my dealer said the last one they did was about 9 months, but she expected times to be improving. Honestly, I think it partly depends on the volume your dealer has to deal with.

Well, dropped mine off today and should be picking it up tomorrow. I was told that it will smell like cigarette smoke for a few days due to the out gassing of the material.
From initial email about my dash to getting it replaced - 19 months.

We got a call telling us they will install our dashboard the end of next week. We are tired of looking at all the cracks and place where a chunk fell off, but not looking forward to the smoke smell. I'll report after we get it installed.

Sorry your car smells like smoke.from the day I picked my car up, there was not a noxious smell. I cannot imagine it smelling that long. QUOTE=smassey321;9857931]Close to day 60 post install and it still smells like smoke.[/QUOTE]

Got my new dash already
I was told, in January 2017, that it would be at least December before my turn would come up. They called last week to set my appointment and I picked my car up, with new dash, today, May 5, 2017. I was shocked and pleased to get the call.
I had to call back about the cigarette smoke smell and was told it would go away within a few days. I'm a little worried now about other comments that it may not go away anytime soon. If not, I will be selling my car, as I don't need anything irritating my lungs.
Will mention also, that the wait times for some being as long as they are may be attributed to the interior color of your dash. There seem to be so many more of the bamboo pearl RX's on the road than any other color, as is mine, and my wait was only just over three months. Just a thought.

I waited about a year from the time I requested a new dashboard until getting called in by the dealer for the replacement earlier this year. At that time the old dashboard surface had become smooth and shiny - but there were no cracks nor did it feel sticky to touch.
Replacement took less than a day. The dealer provided a loaner vehicle. I dropped off my RX at 8 am in the morning and picked it up before closing time at 6:00 pm. Now the replacement dash gives off a plastic smell but the smell is actually nice. Doesn't smell like smoke, it smells like the interior of a new car

How common is the dash problem? I am in the process of buying a 2005 RX 330. He is waiting to get the title, so I haven't actually paid or taken delivery. The dash in the car looks fine though. I live in Eastern Washington which is a hot desert climate in the summer, but not humid. Is it mostly in humid states that this has been a problem? I know the warranty extension seems to run out then end of this month. Should I be worried?
