I am now stuck with two good, and two worn Bridgestone Ecopia 422 tires that Costco wont rotate, warrant, or anything other than replace at full cost. I have been burned by Costco with my AWD Lexus (RX300 and RX400h) three times. I am done with them. I am looking at the Continental tires and wonder how strong a sideway they have. Seems our RX400hs are very heavy up front and the recommended tire pressure of 30lbs is not enough when combined with a tire like Ecopia. Should have ran 35lbs and see if that would have helped on the wear on the edges.
+1 for American Tire

They can match price with Costco as well...

I am also in WA state like the OP so I would recommend checking tirerack website for ratings of handling on ice and snow. We don't get much snow so not worth having snow tires but black ice in the morning commute is pretty regular especially if you live on a less traveled road or wooded area as I do. I had all seasons from Yokohama, goodyear, Kumho and bridgestone and by far the Bridgestone Alenza I have now are the best when on black ice. I also heard great things about ice performance with michelin and general but have not tried those brands yet, they also cost more if that is a concern.

The Yokahama and goodyear were the worst all season tires and I slid even on very few ice patches on the road when the tires were brand new. AWD is only as good as your tires!

I WENT with the Michelin Defender series tires. I now have them on my RX400h as well as my Ford F150 crewcab. So far they have been great tires on both vehicles. They probably don't grip as well as the Ecopias, but they are quiet, and have a long warranty....
