No leak thus far from what I've inspected.

What I'm noticing though is that when I check the coolant in the reservoir when the car is cool it's very low (I can see a little but its even a few inches below the low mark).

BUT when the car has been warmed up, the coolant goes a little over the low mark on the reservoir.

So I kept an eye on this for the past 2 days and it's the same as mentioned each time so I don't think there's a leak, but do you guys think I should fill up any more coolant? is this normal?

It is normal for the coolant to expand when hot and contract when cool. I would add some so it's at least at the low mark when cold.

disappearing coolant is going somewhere, right. if nothing is leaking, check condition
of your oil. if your oil is contaminated with coolant, you have a blown head gasket!!

My new (to me) 2005 RX has a leak at the upper radiator inlet, or at least that's where it's red.

My wife's 2004 Sienna has the same drive train and the same leak. We replaced the radiator on that and the upper hose 2 times, one with a Gates the other a Toyo. Leak remains.

Neither gets hot and we just took the van on a 300 mile camping trip.

Kinda pisses me off that I can't seem to get it fixed.

you got a bad thermostat. replace it before it burst open and overheat your engine. $$$ to fix.

Huh? A bad thermostat is going to result in coolant around the upper radiator hose?

I'm NOT saying the thermo can't/isn't going bad, but I can't figure out how it shows at the radiator.

Could you elaborate?

Your radiator hose should be hot at best. If not, the thermostat is not operating.
