Default Lexus denied to replace my cracked dashboard

I know there is already a thread about cracked dashboards, but, it appears everyone is having success in getting their dash replaced; I just got off the phone with Lexus and they denied to replace my dashboard. I initially contacted Lexus about the dashboard, they told me to go to my local Lexus dealer, have them inspect it and a case manager would get back in touch with me. I go to Lexus, as soon as they saw it, they said, they will put me on the list to have it replaced. When I check out, they said my VIN # is not in the system, but, they will send pictures to Lexus. How does Lexus pick and choose whose 2004 RX 330 cracked dash gets replaced? Doesn't seem fair. I have always purchased an extended warrantly through Lexus on my car. I will contact the dealer to see if they will replace it under that. Has anyone else been denied?

Go to another dealership or call Lexus Corporate.

It maybe that they consider normal wear and tear. In my case I have used AS303 to keep it protected. So now there are only minor tearing up that can be seen. I will however still visit my local Lexus and ask, we will see. I also have not done the carpet clip upgrade, time to visit.

Just last week I got a "warranty extension" letter from Lexus for the dashboard on my 2008 RX350.

The dash on mine is fine, but be aware that Lexus is sending out notifications. It may be a good strategy to ask why you haven't received such a letter.
