I just installed one of these for iPhone integration, but you could connect an HD tuner as well..

Is it simple to remove the radio and is it all pug in

Super easy to remove the radio, and yes the adaptor is completely plug and play.

There are several videos out there showing how to remove the radio.

Short story:
1) Pry out shifter trim
2) Pry out panel below radio
3) Remove 4 10mm screws securing radio
4) Pry out radio

I have a Proclip vent mount with integrated lightning plug coming today. I intend to write I post detailing the complete installation once I finish it up.
