Our 2004 RX recently developed white spots on the plastic part of the steering wheel. This occurred gradually and is only on one side. I've tried using an all-purpose cleaner but that did not help. Does anyone know what caused this and is there an inexpensive fix? Thanks!

NOOOO...All purpose cleaner is bad! Do you use armorall? It kinda looks like what happens when you use amorall.

I occasionally use Armor All cleaning wipes on the interior. I usually don't wipe this surface since it doesn't gather much dust. If the Armor All caused it, I wonder why there are no spots on the other side of the steering wheel.

I don't have an answer for the white spots. Perhaps an auto detail shop could help. I do know and I think everyone on this forum would agree that Armor All is a product that should not be used on the Lexus interior. Most members use Aerospace protectant 303. It provides UV protection and a matte finish. Amazon sells it and some large auto supply stores.
