Default differences between 04-06 &07-09 wheels

Hello,
My chrome rims are a mess. I have been looking at used OEM rims and I am not sure what year the rims have come off of. They are definitely 2004-2009 though. 18x7 with a +35mm offset

Comparing silver color, size and offset. 04-06 OEM vs 07-09 OEM

Questions are:

Are the OEM Factory silver colors the same?

Are they the same rim?

I know some other years come with TPMS and my 04 does not but will this become an issue when just putting the standard valve stem on a later wheel than the 04? (Again looking at the 04-09 silver painted factory wheels.)

I need to get these real soon and do not want to make a newbie mistake and realize the 3 rims I will buy will not match my full size silver painted OEM spare that I already have.

Thanks Dan

Here is a pic of my spare. (The wheel I'm referring to in post above)
The other rims look just like this and are OEM. Just concerned that in later years the same exact looking rim is a different shade of silver. Different cameras and light make the silver color look different. What do you say?

ESRXGUY,
The wheel that you posted a picture of is the optional 18 inch wheels from the 04-06 model years. The 18 inch wheels from 07-09 are different. See below for picture of the 07-09 18 inch wheels. As long as you stick to a wheel with the same design, you should be fine. The 07-09 wheels I believe are clear coated from the factory, thus they have a little bit of a different finish to them, compared to the 04-06. I don't think that the 04-06 wheels have this clear coating. As far as variation between model years, I don't think there was any changes make to the wheels.

Regarding TPMS, the 04-06 model year RX's didn't use valve stem mounted sensors. Instead they used the ABS wheel speed sensors. Thus, you should be able to use any wheel that fits and not worry about the TPMS system. If you bought 07-09 wheels, I don't see why you couldn't just use regular valve stems and call it that. Hopefully that helps.

Or, if you are buying rims anyway, you can always go aftermarket, though I know that's not really everyone's cup of tea. Though the RX can look good on the right set of aftermarket rims in my opinion.

Are you saying the picture I posted was only available for vehicles 04-06?
If so it sounds like I'm all set then and just need to stick with the same design in the pic.

Or are you saying they were available in 07-09 but those had a clear coat finish as the 04-06 did not have the clear coat finish?
In this case I'm going to have find out what year car they came off of because I dealing with multiple sellers!

Yes thank you for all the info it was helpful.

Ya know I just came from 16 years of modding and screwing with a vehicle. I'm not that interested in messing with 19"+++++ rims because the weather here is terrible. I'm just happy to own the car. It really is enough for me. FWIW I like the rims in the first pic better than the second pic.

Thank you for taking the time and explaining the rim deal to me. It's like starting all over for me again. It feels weird asking such basic questions. Thanks for your help

Yes the wheel in the picture you posted was only available for the 04-06 model years. They changed the design and clear coated the wheels from 07-09. So stick to the same design and you should be set. Sorry for the confusion.

I understand. Modded cars are awesome in their own right, don't get me wrong, but there is nothing wrong with just leaving the car stock. Less headache and less to worry about that way.

You're very welcome. There are no dumb questions. We are all here to help each other as fellow owners.
