does lexus give a software update so my navigation system is up to date?

Sewell has some good instructions to install the DVD upgrade and will sell you the dvd. $$$!

 

No they don't. You would need to buy the newest version DVD from Lexus.

If you are computer savvy, you may be able to find a copy of the DVD from a source other than the dealership for a lesser price.

 

Though if you haven't had many problems getting around or been driving into any lakes lately, I wouldn't even worry about it. Just use your phone (if you have a smart phone) to get around new or tricky areas.

steven4482, I never updated the nav on the 330 during six years. It's simple to do and relatively low cost but not necessary. Updates generally come out this time of year. Check with your dealer to find out if it's out.

 

Au contraire! Sewell has PDF files with detailed installation instructions and since they are a Lexus dealer, they will gladly sell you an upgrade DVD for $163. This is what I did.
That said, my phone is infinitely easier to use.
I have found that a generic google search turns up lots more info than a forum search, fwiw.
