Just wanted to say thanks for all of the write ups. I was a bit worried when I went to bed, but this morning I confirmed that the tape did it's job.

I plan on using a 10" sub that only needs .5cf of air so I'll do some measuring but think I'll be fine.

Any ideas on where to get a nice OEM matching fabric?

 

Hey Chris, if you don't mind not having one (if you have one already) you could use your cargo mat/cover or look for one online (Amazon, eBay, Lexus parts dealers...). Good luck.

Looks like a good start

 

Several years ago, I installed 4 Rockford 8" subwoofer in the storage area under the hatch floor. Here's what it looked like; still looking for the same color (light gray) carpet to finish one part.

 

It has a seam that I'm not happy with, but given the shape I guess I should have seen it coming. I'll work on some way to cover it.

I didn't find an exact match, but this is with a flash which made it worse. I like the thickness of the felt (hides imperfections), I might be able to find a thinner material and just cover the felt.

 

THIS is exactly the flush mounted sub box i'm looking to have made. Good job!
