Default 2007 RX-350 rear struts replacement

Hi Folks,
I am interested in any info about replacing the rear struts. Is there a particular brand that is preferred?
My car has 107,000 miles and is used on good California roads.

KYB GR-2/Excel G struts seem to be the preference on this board. KYB is the OEM manufacturer but they are valved differently than the actual OEM strut released for Toyota/Lexus.

Some of this has been discussed in whole or part previous, Bill. A quick search found the following which may be of interest, am sure there are more:

If you have been happy with the OEM you might consider ordering from Sewell using your CL discount if you are going to do this yourself. Others have reported no problems with KYB replacements, so not sure what all went wrong in the above thread. Believe Monroe was the other one mentioned.

also, if you do it yourself, no special tools are required, (ie spring compressor is not needed for the rear.)

After reading all the posts about ROUGH Riding related to the KBY, non OEM, I think I will try the Monroe product.
And I have not looked it over, but I have changed and rebuilt many struts.
