ON or OFF: Tilt/Telescope Steering Wheel
Title speaks for itself.
I've had it turned off for a few years but I recently got it back on again.
I read that there were some problems reported for other models, but what about the RX? Anyone ever have any problems with or thoughts on the auto tilt/telescope steering?

Going to guess you had your battery disconnected/replaced here not long ago. While not specifically for the RX330, the following pretty much sums up the situation when it comes to CBEST or LPS setting changes in your Lexus:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...y-feature.html
In short, this is something which requires the dealer to connect their computer to change. Usually for a fee.
Your message nor your profile indicate which year RX330 you have, so will assume you have the previous generation CBEST settings. There are programs out there, such as Carista who is also a supporting vendor here at Club Lexus, which tout the ability to change the settings on a Lexus in conjunction with a device attached to the OBDII port. However, I have not seen one which supports the RX330. Carista says they are working on it, but no promises.
The other route is to purchase yourself a Techstream setup. You can Google search for that if you want.

My local dealer does it for free actually.
I mentioned in my first post that I've had it switched off for years because I was afraid of a failure from overuse, but I recently visited the dealership and switched it back on.
I'm wondering if I should just go back and switch it off again since it might break (from seeing some of the posts on here).

They charge for most everything at the Lexus dealerships on the west coast of FL. They give you one free when you purchase new and after that it is a charge item.
Am going to guess you are referring to this item:

Your call. Personally, I am not worried about it with my 2004 RX330. Have owned since new and not had a problem with this item -- no noises. Lots of things on your vehicle "may" break or have problems. If it starts making some noises you can always set it and then have the dealership turn the feature off for you.
