Default Anyone have crank pulley holder I can borrow for TB install?

Need it by next Friday.

I will pay for shipping then send back to you.

Something like this:

Amazon.com: Toyota, Lexus Crankshaft Pulley Holding Tool: Everything Else Amazon.com: Toyota, Lexus Crankshaft Pulley Holding Tool: Everything Else

I am going to try impact gun to remove bolt first, if that doesn't work I will muscle it.

You might also try your local B&M parts store as many have a tool loan program requiring nothing more than a deposit.

How about building one.

3" wide iron/steel 2-3ft long

1.5" (for the socket to get through) drill

3/16" drill

2 bolts

Plans are some where in first gen RX.

I will but i couldnt find the link. Any help here?

Also what size are the bolts needed as i may have to buy them even for the autozone pulley puller. I heard that kit may not have the right bolt size.

Thanks

I used an impact wrench a few times. One time I used a long breaker bar and used the starter to loosen the bolt by quickly turning it over without starting engine. Both methods worked fine for me. You can you tube the breaker bar procedure.

And you didnt need holder for this right since the starter is turning the pulley against the breaker bar not vice versa right?

I made one of these and with just a breaker bar was able to remove the crank bolt. I had tried the impact, but it just wasn't making it. with the holder tool it was a snap.

I doubt very seriously you gonna get it off with an impact. We tried with a big gun from the local tire shop & a 200 psi compressor & it didn't budge. We ended up making up a holder from a piece of flat stock. Cut a v in it to clear socket & 2 holes for the bolts to screw in to pulley. Used breaker bar then impact to run it out & holder worked as a puller as the bolt came out.

Actually the Snap-on MG725 did it no problem:
